Building Youtube For POD

As one of the biggest search engines, getting 1.3 billion users.

Over 5 billion videos watched every day

Over 30 million visits a day.

 That's something you can't ignore if you plan to use social media to push your POD business.

What? 

Yep POD is a little more than throwing a few designs up, you are always looking for new ways to promote old and new listings, or maybe you're selling yourself as a designer, 

And other instances of possible software you developed for POD or a fully functional website offering tools for design and research.

Here we will discuss the first steps into building that channel up.

Start At The Start                       

There are a couple of ways to do this, let's go on experience I have, for now, no I don't have a youtube channel, I'm not the type for that :) 

But I have been around this game long enough to know the nuts and bolts.

You can start by throwing a video up and waiting for organic traffic, you will get some for sure, but unless its a killer vid with a great eye-catching thumbnail, it may just fizzle.

I will expand that point a bit later on.

Facebook Is Your Friend Here

This is probably one of the best ways to get youtube traffic to your channel, its targetted and always hungry for what you have to offer, don't always push sales here as we lightly discussed in other articles.

  

To do this you will have to:

• Start a group, or a page(groups seem to do better)
• Offer good content (advice, help, ideas)
• Do Not try to sell stuff right off
• Get a few people you know to join
• Be active(have a lot of conversations always going on, this will happen if the group as grows)

The group will grow because you have a lot of interaction, kind of a symbiotic thing.

So What Does This Have To Do With Youtube              

Simple you need to build that channel up. Not only will more traffic to the videos build you up, but you will if you don't already know, be able to monetize there if you get enough views.

This is that sort of organic manipulation, your audience will seek you out on FB, once you have enough of an audience you will start to direct people to your channel.

Sooner or later, if all is a success you will hold live sessions.

So in the meantime, build that organically manipulated traffic. ( HEY its a new GURU bobby dazzler, Organically Manipulated Traffic) You gotta love it eh!

How Do I Find Content For My Videos

That will be fairly easy. As the group builds, this is even at the start, as they ask questions, well tats your content right. Build on that do vids that show how to do, what the topic is.

Do live Q and A this is a really good OMT (HA My new Guru thang Organically Manipulated Traffic) 

As you have live traffic and action going on, youtube as with most platforms has its own algorithms, will notice.

If you at some point have guests do a live stream and have a lot of interaction this helps too.

And guess what, people make a good living from the tube too, pretty passive once a vid has attention.

Build Some Early Content

Hopefully, you have some kind of grasp on things in the direction POD is taking you, even if you don't, that's not bad as long as you can swing that for yourself, all you need is a modicum of success even if you don't...

Can you imagine a title like POD for Dummies By A Dummy, I would watch that.

Put up a couple but wait till you get a bit of action in your group.

As you go and start to learn yourself start to easily mention you are going to start a channel, from there it will build out.

Keep In Mind

People don't like to be bamboozled (played) you should help people without giving too much.

This, even though we all realize there is a catch or a funnel developing, will still make us somewhat loyal, think about it...

If I give you info that helps you achieve some goal, you will remember me later, just like that.

OHHH so tats what you're doing ..NO I'm just giving back, I don't even know if anyone will read this!  That's the truth.

It's as important to be yourself and as honest as you can be. Be genuine and offer real and useful content.

Another Way                                   

Ok as I mentioned I will expand on the way without a group.

You need a very hot topic, like Merch By Amazon or Etsy something along those lines.

You will have some knowledge and experience in what your content is about. Don't slather it with affiliate links.

All free and helpful, do a soft sell, without giving everything.

Design a splashy thumbnail that grabs the eye, do a great intro, be careful not to use copyright songs, you will be banned. That means anything an artist has recorded, without permission.

Make sure you use keywords that can be found through organic search, both platform and search engine. ( this is a mus anyway even with a group)

  

Again this is a pretty basic guide or view, hopefully, you see the power of the tube as a sales tool, promotion tool, or as another stream of income for your business.

There are many ways to monetize from ads, promotions etc. You will discover many things on your own, but of course, Action is key.
