Merch On Demand

 The New Merch By Amazon

Well its been a while since I've written anything.

Working full time and running an FBA biz has kept me hopping.

Designing POD hasn't been high on my list.

I check my POD accounts, only 4 left, Merch, Redbubble, Tee Public and Tee Spring, once or twice a month to keep them active.

With the offer of more products from all PODS, Amazon FBA becoming harder to make money, I am taking a new look.

Dollar Sign
TRUE Passive
Income

This is an income that is truly passive. For PODS that uploads have been done, or ongoing.

Every Month I get payments  totaling approx. $200 Bucks US. Not a lot, but considering I do nothing after the initial design uploads.

Organic

I do not advertise, I'm sure I could make more if I did, something I may try later. I do a little legwork , looking in the Amazon search bar, and a couple of quick google searches.

From those I make a design and have ready made keywords. All Organic.

So basically, think of something Hunting for example and start typing google and Amazon searches. Check Az (amazon) for similar, make your design, like deer hunting is wild..

TIP : note how many ways I write Tshirt

PPC can be very costly if your new to it. People have lost a lot, not understanding the system, look for free articles on how to before entering. Amazon has a lot of documentation FREE,..stay away from GURUS.

KDP

Still an avenue I have not explored. It seems like it is definitely another income stream although like most PODS or online ventures, saturated.

Blank journals, with designed pages, simple borders or flowered covers etc. are all you need to get going.

Journal Ideas

Here are a few ideas for publishing, its literally only limited by your imagination.

  • Thoughts
  • Notebooks
  • Calendars
  • Notepads
  • Coloring Books
  • Planners
  • Meetings

Remember with saturation comes more competition and lower sales, which equals lower profits, which equals...GURUS..be careful. The new groups condone copycatting, which leads to ..yes. BOOT.. Banned.

 Products

The best selling for me are by far Teeshirts. My biggest sale was 46 second was 23 one design, one order. All Tees.
Pop sockets are pretty good still.
Phone cases and others not so much .

Redbubble sells more stickers, but t-Shirts come a close second.
The others all tees and a couple of mugs.

Evergreen

Most of my designs are all year. But I do have summer, winter designs , but they seem to sell all season anyway.

I would in low tiers stick to evergreen. Unless you hit a hot trend, that can catapult you out of low tier

hell.

Tiers

Still seem to be hit and miss. Tiering some right on the mark, 10,25,100 whatever and others not for months.

My wife and I have been on tier 500 for a couple of years, but are not actively designing.

All of our slots are full and both have over sales amount.

Autouploads

With the new system most of our designs are uploaded and on sale in all countries that are ok as far as copywrite and content are allowable.

This give us tons of coverage. But as I think with most, my sales are usually USA, Brittan and Germany.
TIP : Brittan and the US like the racy ones most. ;)

Etsy

This is one marketplace that I intend to refocus on this winter. Great for POD and specializations Mugs, all tshirts all Posters etc.

It is also good for sourced products, not just handmade!

Though it is NOT passive, you better answer any questions in time and professionally and politely no matter the situation, the payout can be very lucrative.

Once I redo Etsy I will definitely write about any experience or tips I can.

Remember keep going, there is no easy way. Its all work and dedication to get to the level you desire, that will make you successful in your journey..not the GURU trying to take your money!
