FBA Quick Beginners Look

Image
Amazon Quick Look This is entirely written with a pure beginner in mind. If you are kicking tires thining about FBA or are just starting FBA read a bit this may help you. This is still the easiest way to get into online eCommerce that there is. I wish there were a truely easy let's go when I decided, only 1/12 years in I have made so many mistakes it's not funny. There are a lot more to come :) My business model is RA and OA Retail Arbitrage and Online Arbitrage, and moving some into wholesale in late 2020. I will give you a bit of help here, I won't give the farm away, but will help you a lot, at least this will point you in the direction you want to head. Things To Know You don't need a sellers pro account to start. But at the price and with the hassles and cost of any mail or cartage in Canada its the best way to go, even if you're just trying it out. USA carrier rates are way better and so it easier to start as a free account, but the...

POD Catch-UP

Image
I thought I would bang this out for any people that were reading my POD articles. I have been so busy with FBA and other projects plus working full time to write anything. The pod world has changed and I admit I have not had the time to follow the rabbit holes. I am still involved in Merch, Redbubble and Tee Public. Competition in all levels of eCommerce including Amazon Fba and POD is growing, everything is moving online, and more people from around the globe are joining the spree so it's gotten a lot more competitive (and Dirty) out there. 2020 should be an interesting year. Changes                                There are so many changes in Merch and other POD platforms this year I would have a hard time trying to go back and recount them all. From Merch outwards design choices. More product choices. A little better but still disappointing USPTO response to frivolous trademarks for comm...

Amazon FBA Beginner | The Start Of A Journey

Image
My Amazon FBA Journey I thought at this point I would talk about Amazon FBA and some of the fun and heartbreak I have had and am still having to try to learn the business. Back when Amazon started, they had a few books, I was there trying to see if there was a way to make money. I failed at a lot of stuff and eventually gave up. My last serious blog was a digital download site/ software reseller that was in 2003. It failed, a bit ahead of its time. I quit and actually was offline for around 10 years. Finally coming back and starting to look at building an online income, out of necessity. getting old sucks if you're not prepared for it. So here's a bit of my journey, and you will see why it intertwines with POD and FBA for me. And maybe for you too. Some of my mistakes past, present, and future. This will be a journal of sorts, I will try to share the good, bad and ugly here, and hope it helps someone, from making t...

Publish Multiple Products - Merch By Amazon

Image
Publishing Multiple Shirts-Uploads MBA Finally after many months of waiting Merch By Amazon has made it possible to publish to multiple shirt styles and market places ( UK and Germany) at the same time. This is a huge time saver and a very good tool, still in Beta but working really well. It took a few months for the rollout to come up on my dash but it was worth the wait. Let's take a look at the tool. Sorry for the delay in this I got sidetracked with FBA for a month. The Interface                                   In the heading of your dash, you will see the usual links.  Except now the new CREATE (beta) From there you will have the choice to publish multiple or single products. Choosing single brings you to the old setup. Giving you the products that are live in your account. In Multiple you get all products (new ones as well) which is a nice hac...

New Products | Merch By Amazon

Image
New Products Added Finally Well after months of debate and conjecture on everyone's part, the Merch crew has finally added a few new products. The old line up has been getting pretty stale with the last update being popsockets, as far as new products. Though the MBA crew has been working hard and has fixed many issues with the platform, the new product rollouts are still done at a snail's pace. Though many thought phone cases or those weird lettered sunglasses would be up (Maybe they are in secret) The crew pulled a fast one on us all, though we did expect one item. Let's take a look at the items and the how. The Products                        The products released are as follows : Tank tops  V-necks Raglans  We all expected and wanted tank tops, which are good sellers on other market places including Etsy .  The only other interest as far as lettered or design woul...

The Print On Demand Business

Image
What Is POD Print on demand had been around for quite a few years. There are a great many entrepreneurs that have made ( in their estimation) millions on this phenomenon. In a nutshell, you design and sell your designs on T-shirts, Cell Phone Cases, Mugs, Jewelry, Leggings, Socks, Posters etc, this list is huge and growing. Basically the transfer of design or letter from one media to another, digital file to Tshirt for instance. In most cases, these are totally free. You work on a commission or Royalty based pay scale. People have really misrepresented this industry as a drop shipping one (it is but, it's not) and will try to sell you this info! These Pods can be partnered with other online e-commerce platforms. You have Zero inventory so entry is super attractive and basically ZERO risk. A Small Warning     Beware, there are Guru`s for everything today, GURU means let me take your ...

Staggered Listings | Merch By Amazon

Image
Staggering MBA Listings The old 80/20 rule really comes into play here. 80% is wasted time and energy, 10% is what actually makes money or is productive. In Merch by Amazon, we are plagued by the 180-day rule (it used to be 90 days) meaning if it doesn't sell, it is automatically removed. This is not a huge deal until you reach T-100 and up. Think of your listings coming down 25 or 50 or 100 at a time! Let's take a look at how to minimize this. Slow Down Uploads                                                           One of the things you will learn is to slow down how much you upload a day or week depending on you. If you have 100 slots to fill, don't rush. You get 10 or 25 uploads a day (I don't remember exactly) Your shirts seem to go on a carousel of...
